Milton Karisa posts emotional farewell to Vipers SC

Uganda's Milton Karisa has shared an emotional farewell to domestic heavyweights Vipers SC after signing for Mouloudia Club.

The 23-year old was part of the Vipers side who won the 2017-18 Uganda Premier League title, and was also part of the Cranes squad at the 2018 Africa Nations Championship in Morocco.

He signed a two-year deal with his new club earlier this month, and took to Facebook on Wednesday to bid farewell to his former side.

"So long and farewell," Karisa began. "It has been great,...

David Obua unimpressed with Uganda's scoring struggles

Former Uganda international David Obua is concerned that the Cranes' lack of a goal threat is not being addressed by coach Sebastien Desabre.

The East Africans were held to a 0-0 draw at home by rivals Tanzania in their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier this weekend, and have now failed to score in five of the Frenchman's eight matches at the helm.

"Scoring remains Uganda's biggest problem," Obua told KweséESPN. "Desabre must quickly address this with his technical team members.

Isma Watenga completes Ethiopia switch

Uganda goalkeeper Isma Watenga has completed a move to Ethiopian side Ethiopia Bunna FC, putting pen to paper on a two-year deal.

The stopper has been a free agent after leaving defending Ugandan champions Vipers SC at the end of the campaign.

The 23-year-old follows in the footsteps of Uganda's No. 1, Denis Onyango,...

Milutin Sredojevic's departure from his role of Uganda head coach in July 2017, amidst allegations of unpaid wages, represented a significant blow for the Cranes.

The meticulous Serbian had ended the East Africans' near-40-year wait for a return to the Africa Cup of Nations, ushered in a new style of football and prompted optimism that the good times could last for the 1978 AFCON finalists.

However, FUFA's inability to pay up cost them Micho - who's now coaching Orlando Pirates - and plunged Uganda...

Onyango: We have made AFCON qualification difficult for ourselves

Uganda Cranes captain and goalkeeper Denis Onyango said that his team have made qualifying for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) difficult for themselves after a goalless draw with Tanzania in a Group L qualifier on Saturday.

Onyango rued the Cranes' ability to take their opportunities at the Mandela National Stadium in Kampala, but stressed the difficulty of the derby which was enforced by the Taifa Stars' Belgium based captain Mbwana Samatta.

"We had our chances to score but we did not take...
