Pre-tournament favourites Vietnam were held to a 0-0 draw by Myanmar on Tuesday as the duo remained locked in the top two positions in group A of the AFF Suzuki Cup.

Both teams went into the meeting with two wins, and the draw lifts them to seven points apiece from three games, a point above third-placed Malaysia with one round of group games remaining.

How well can Keisuke Honda split his time between Cambodia and Melbourne Victory?

Keisuke Honda does not need to be on the same continent as the Cambodia national team to know that he has quite a job on his hands to take the Angkor Warriors forward.

The ongoing 2018 AFF Suzuki Cup -- of which the Japan international plays only a bit part -- is proof of that.

In the group's other game, Vietnam cruised to a 3-0 win over Laos to lay down an early marker for the tournament.

Keisuke Honda coaching Cambodia via video, set to miss first AFF Cup match vs. Malaysia

Malaysia's hopes of kicking off their 2018 AFF Cup campaign with a win over Cambodia in Phnom Penh on Thursday have been boosted by confirmation that the hosts will be without mentor Keisuke Honda.

The Japanese star was appointed in August to become general manager of the Angkor Warriors but took on the role of acting head coach in September's friendly against Malaysia that ended in a 3-1 defeat.

With Honda busy on Sunday playing for Melbourne Victory against Central Coast Mariners in the Australian...
