David Beckham's bid to build a stadium for his Inter Miami team in Ft. Lauderdale was unanimously approved.

David Beckham's plans to build an 18,000 seat stadium in Ft. Lauderdale to temporarily house his MLS expansion club Inter Miami in 2020 and 2021 was given the green light by the city commissioners on Tuesday.

The proposal submitted by Beckham's group was unanimously picked over a competing bid from Miami-based FXE Futbol with the club ready to commit $60 million to the project and begin the construction phase in July at the site of Ft. Lauderdale's historic Lockhart Stadium as soon as permits...

Major League Soccer said on Tuesday that Roar Digital LLC, a joint venture between MGM Resorts International and GVC Holdings PLC, would be its exclusive sports betting partner, the league's first.

The multi-year deal also makes MGM the league's first official gaming partner, though not an exclusive one. It also provides MGM and Roar access to league data for fans and sports bettors, according to a statement.

A claim for solidarity payments by a U.S. youth club involving the 2014 transfer of DeAndre Yedlin from the Seattle Sounders to Premier League-side Tottenham Hotspur has encountered another delay, according to a document obtained by ESPN.
