After Alan Pulido confirms his departure from Chivas, Herc Gomez assesses where his most likely destination is.

MEXICO CITY -- MLS record-breakers LAFC and Mexican striker Carlos Vela will face a stern CONCACAF Champions League debut, after being drawn against Liga MX's Club Leon in the round of 16.

Leon was the only Mexican side in pot two of the draw, guaranteeing that La Fiera would be facing a team from MLS, with LAFC potentially facing Cruz Azul in the semifinal.

The full draw is Atlanta United against Motagua (Honduras), Club America versus Comunicaciones (Guatemala), Cruz Azul and Portmore United (Jamaica),...

Montagliani is confident that the focus for clubs in the region remains the CONCACAF Champions League, which Monterrey lifted for the fourth time on Wednesday.

"I can tell you unequivocally that I think that's all media speculation," Montagliani told ESPN FC in Monterrey. "Neither MLS nor Liga MX itself as it relates to...

Tigres, Monterrey are Mexico's top two teams - Andre-Pierre Gignac

USMNT's Gregg Berhalter praises the Mexican federation for its success in CONCACAF and says the organization has set the benchmark for MLS and U.S. Soccer.

MONTERREY -- France international Andre-Pierre Gignac believes Tigres belong at the top of the Mexican game, and that the CONCACAF Champions League final against city rival Monterrey pits Liga MX's two best teams.

Liga MX's "big four" is often talked about and refers to traditional clubs Chivas, America, Cruz Azul and Pumas, the last three of which are from Mexico City.

"When they talk of the four big teams, they don't talk about Tigres," said Gignac in an interview with ESPN's Futbol Picante. "I...
