A Spanish court has on Monday cleared 41 people, including Leganes coach Javier Aguirre, and Second Division side Real Zaragoza of match-fixing charges in a Liga fixture between Levante and Real Zaragoza in 2011.

A total of 41 people, including 36 current and former players, had faced punishments ranging from 24-month to four-year prison sentences and €3.4 million fines each if found guilty of sports corruption.

La Liga president Javier Tebas has said he hopes justice will be done after the case of alleged match-fixing involving Levante and Real Zaragoza seven years ago was reopened.

A court in Valencia reopened the legal process against 41 individuals, including 36 players, last month.

MADRID -- Manchester United's Ander Herrera is among 30 players who Spanish prosecutors want jailed and banned for their connections to match-fixing in La Liga seven years ago.

Prosecutors are asking for a two-year prison sentence and a six-year ban for the case involving clubs Levante and Real Zaragoza at the end of the 2010-11 season.

Among the players accused are Herrera, Leicester City's Vicente Iborra, Atletico Madrid captain Gabi Fernandez and River Plate captain Leonardo Ponzio.

Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has said his conscience remains clear after match-fixing allegations were reopened in Spain.
