Chicago Fire midfielder Djordje Mihailovic is training with German second division side Nurnberg, the two clubs have confirmed.

Nurnberg posted a tweet on Tuesday saying the 21-year-old United States international had spent a "few days" at the club during MLS' offseason break.

A product of the University of North Carolina, Mihailovic is under contract with the Fire through 2020 with a club option for 2021.
