Marseille's quiet captain Dimitri Payet will let the importance of Le Classique speak for itself this weekend.

OM take on Paris St Germain on Sunday desperate to end a run of four straight defeats, and five without a win, in home games against their bitter foes.

Payet admits he is "not someone who talks a lot", a trait which has not changed since taking the captaincy.

But he told the club's website: "There is no need to talk before the match. If you do not have the desire, you should not be there."

A Marseille fan was forced to watch his team in action in Sunday's Ligue 1 game at Strasbourg in his underwear after stewards ordered him to remove his club tracksuit.

Cyril, 21, who lives in nearby Mulhouse, took the opportunity to see Marseille in action, buying a ticket that placed him among the Strasbourg supporters.

Paris Saint-Germain fans to be banned from Marseille Classique

The FC crew assess the impact Edinson Cavani's comments about Marco Verratti could have on his relationship with Neymar.

Paris Saint-Germain will be without away supporters at Marseille for the third time in three seasons when they travel to the Stade Velodrome later this month.

Marseille police have opted to ban away supporters from travelling for fear of violence at the Classique on Oct. 22.

Chief of police Olivier de Mazieres met security representatives from both clubs on Thursday to announce the decision, which should be confirmed by France's Interior Ministry on Friday.
