A handful of players are expected to return to the Lincoln starting line-up for the FA Cup replay against Ipswich.

Captain Luke Waterfall, Bradley Wood, Alex Woodyard, Nathan Arnold, Matt Rhead and Theo Robinson, who scored the Imps' goals in the 2-2 draw at Portman Road, were all rested on Saturday at Gateshead in the FA Trophy with centre-half Waterfall, winger Arnold and striker Robinson not even in the squad.

New signing Joe Ward made his debut in that win but the on-loan Brighton winger is ineligible...

Tom Lawrence's stunning 30-yard strike gave Ipswich a precious 3-2 victory over struggling Blackburn.

The Leicester loanee scored twice, either side of Christophe Berra's first goal of the season, as Ipswich eased some of the pressure on manager Mick McCarthy.

Blackburn had initially levelled through Hope Akpan and set up a nervous finish through Danny Graham's 74th minute penalty but Ipswich held on to claim a deserved win.

Ipswich had the first chance on seven minutes when Freddie Sears latched onto...

But Lawrence scored two cracking equalisers - the second in the 86th minute - as Lincoln were forced to settle for a replay, which was the very least they deserved following a performance high on energy, passion and guile.

Despite the fact...

Pawel Wszolek scored a late QPR winner for the second game running as they beat Ipswich 2-1 at Loftus Road.

Tom Lawrence netted a stunning equaliser for the visitors, blasting in from 25 yards three minutes after half-time, cancelling out Idrissa Sylla's first-half opener.

But Wszolek, who got the winner at Wolves on New Year's Eve, struck again with seven minutes remaining to give Ian Holloway's team a victorious start to 2017.

The Polish winger chased Nedum Onuoha's long ball forward, held off Adam...

A superb overhead kick by Brett Pitman gave Ipswich a priceless 2-1 victory as Bristol City's struggles continued in the Sky Bet Championship.

The Town striker brilliantly grabbed an 86th-minute winner, one that Ipswich ultimately deserved after finishing the game on top.

They went in at half-time a goal ahead thanks to Kevin Bru's deft finish but Bristol City hit back when Tammy Abraham scored his 12th goal in 24 league matches following a defensive mix-up involving Ipswich keeper Bartosz Bialkowski...
