Brentford and Hull shared the Sky Bet Championship spoils in a well contested clash between two sides with nothing to play for.

The Bees broke the deadlock after 12 minutes at Griffin Park when the Hull defence failed to deal with a cross from the right and the ball found its way to Sergi Canos, whose glancing header crept inside the far post.

But Hull's goal in the 1-1 draw came almost on the stroke of half-time when Jarrod Bowen steered former Bee Jon Toral's headed pass just inside the upright.

LAFC signs Hull City forward Adama Diomande

Laurent Ciman broke the deadlock in the 93rd minute to secure the win for LAFC.

Hull City forward Adama Diomande has joined Major League Soccer side LAFC, the club announced on Wednesday.

Diomande, who will occupy an international roster spot, was to be out of contract this summer but the club released him early so he could make the move to the United States.

The move to LAFC sees Diomande link up again with coach Bob Bradley after having worked with him at Norwegian club Stabaek.

"We are excited to add Adama to our Club," said LAFC general manager John Thorrington. "Adama...

Cardiff regained pole position in the race to clinch the second automatic promotion spot in the Sky Bet Championship with a 2-0 victory over Hull at the KCOM Stadium.

Fulham's come-from-behind win over Sunderland on Friday night had put the pressure squarely on the Bluebirds but the Welsh side moved back up to second spot courtesy of captain Sean Morrison's double.

It was far from a vintage display from Neil Warnock's team but they did what was required in an attritional contest to reclaim their one-point...

Hull twice fought back from two goals down to inflict a potentially fatal blow on Bristol City's Championship play-off hopes in an amazing 5-5 draw at Ashton Gate.

Fraizer Campbell slid home an 87th-minute goal from a cross by substitute Kamil Grosicki to put the visitors ahead 5-4 after they had trailed 3-1 and 4-2.

But during six minutes of stoppage time, Joe Bryan cut in from the left to equalise with a low drive from just outside the box. There was still time for Robins goalkeeper Frank Fielding...

Jordan Rhodes scored his first goal since Boxing Day as Sheffield Wednesday beat Hull 1-0 at the KCOM Stadium.

After Allan McGregor had produced a good save to deny him in the opening stages, striker Rhodes headed Wednesday in front after 18 minutes on his return to the starting line-up.

Hull, who had scored nine goals in their last two matches before this clash, thought they had levelled things up in stoppage time when Abel Hernandez put the ball in the net, only for the linesman to raise his flag...
