Dan Petrescu has been named the new coach of Guizhou Hengfeng, replacing Gregorio Manzano at the helm of the Chinese Super League's bottom side.

Shandong Luneng missed the chance to move into sole possession of top spot in the Chinese Super League on Sunday as Li Xiaopeng's side was held to a 0-0 draw by Beijing Renhe, while Guizhou Hengfeng coach Gregorio Manzano took a step closer to the exit door.

Shanghai SIPG have confirmed Andre Villas-Boas has left the club, announcing the Portuguese coach's departure on their social media outlet on Thursday evening.

Watford's Mario Suarez joins China's Guizhou Hengfeng Zhicheng

Mario Suarez signed for Watford in January 2016.

Watford midfielder Mario Suarez has joined Chinese Super League side Guizhou Hengfeng Zhicheng FC, the Premier League club have announced.

Suarez, 30, moved to Vicarage Road from Fiorentina in January 2016 but made just 17 appearances for the Hornets.

He spent last season on loan at Valencia, where he played 24 times for the Liga side.

Suarez, who has three caps for Spain, will become a teammate of former Everton, Hull and West Ham striker Nikica Jelavic at Zhicheng.
