A late header from skipper Peter Clarke gave 10-man Oldham a vital 1-0 victory at relegation rivals Chesterfield.

Oldham played the second half a man down after defender Anthony Gerrard was dismissed for an incident in the tunnel but they defended superbly and Clarke clinched the points with a far-post header in injury time.

Nottingham Forest sign American winger Gboly Ariyibi from Chesterfield

Gboly Ariyibi was born in the United States but received his football education in England.

Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of U.S. under-23 international Gboly Ariyibi from Chesterfield for an undisclosed fee.

Ariyibi, 22, has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract at the City Ground and was finally confirmed as the Championship club's fourth signing of deadline day on Wednesday morning.

Ariyibi wrote on his Twitter account: "So happy to be joining such a great and historical club like @NFFC can't wait to get going!"
