Blackburn Rovers made it six league wins on the spin with a 2-0 triumph over Charlton Athletic to keep the pressure on the top two.

An own goal by Leon Best put his former side in front on the half hour and Danny Graham made the points safe in injury time.

Charlton had chances of their own but found Rovers goalkeeper David Raya in inspired form.

Bradley Dack miscued a good chance early on before the hosts took a 30th-minute lead when Charlie Mulgrew's testing free-kick was met by Best, who headed into...

Charlton marked 25 years back at The Valley with a 1-0 defeat against Portsmouth.

Josh Magennis' second-half own goal was enough to give the visitors the win in a repeat of the first fixture on the ground on December 5, 1992, a game the Addicks won by the same scoreline.

It was Portsmouth who had the opening effort of the game with Gareth Evans seeing his shot tipped over by Ben Amos after 26 minutes.

Kenny Jackett's side then had Conor Chaplin's goalbound effort superbly blocked by Charlton captain...

Lyle Taylor scored twice as AFC Wimbledon claimed a spot in the third round of the FA Cup with a 3-1 win against League One rivals Charlton.

After a feisty start, the Dons went ahead when Deji Oshilaja stole the ball 20 yards out and surged into the box, nudging the ball to Cody McDonald, who fired home.

Charlton clawed themselves level 10 minutes later when Mark Marshall skipped past a defender and crossed for Karlan Ahearne-Grant to poke home.

The Addicks almost went ahead early in the second half...

Charlton celebrates
Karlan Ahearne-Grant, second from the right, celebrates his 94th-minute equaliser for Charlton.

Karlan Ahearne-Grant's last-gasp equaliser saw Charlton rescue an unlikely 2-2 draw with Peterborough.

Gwion Edwards and Jack Marriott struck either side of the break to seemingly secure Posh victory but Ricky Holmes' 90th-minute penalty gave the Addicks hope and the home fans were in dreamland when Ahearne-Grant scored deep into added time.

Peterborough survived a fourth-minute scare when Anthony Grant headed Ricky Holmes' effort off the line. Ben Amos denied Marriott at the other end before Peterborough...

Two sensational strikes in as many second-half minutes from Josh Morris earned Scunthorpe a 2-0 victory over Charlton in a top-of-the-table clash.

Brought on at the break in a return to action following injury, the winger curled home a free-kick just after the hour mark before then rifling in an even better effort from 25 yards minutes after having broken the deadlock.

In a game between the division's two form teams, there was little to choose between either during the first half, though the Addicks...
