Jordan Cousins could return to the QPR squad for the visit of Burton.

Manchester United open their Carabao Cup campaign in style with a 4-1 win over Burton Albion.

Marcus Rashford's brace inspired holders Manchester United to as comprehensive a Carabao Cup victory as you would expect against much-changed Burton.

Seven months on from lifting the trophy at Wembley, Jose Mourinho's men kicked off their defence by swatting aside the Championship side in the third round.

Akins fired home after defender Kyle McFadzean had been dragged down by Fulham skipper Kevin McDonald and referee Stephen Martin had pointed to the spot. It proved to be the winner despite Fulham dominating most of the second half but finding themselves unable to breach the Burton defence for a second time in the game.

Burton grabbed a 12th minute lead when...

Norwich were frustrated by a rearguard action from a determined Burton side as a disappointing encounter at Carrow Road ended goalless.

The Canaries improved markedly after the break and created enough chances to have won the game comfortably, but the Brewers stood firm as they produced an excellent response to Saturday's 5-0 drubbing at Leeds.

For the hosts it was a fourth point from two home games, having beaten Birmingham 1-0 at the weekend, although they will be disappointed to have not collected...
