Joey Barton 3/10 as Burnley fall to defeat vs. Manchester United

Jose Mourinho made wholesale changes from their Europa League win against Anderlecht and leave Burnley with a 2-0 victory.

Jose Mourinho says he's more focused on winning the Europa League title than placing fourth in the Premier League.
Joey Barton looked nothing like a Premier League player as Man United easily handled Burnley on Sunday.

First-half goals from Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney saw an under-strength Manchester United through to an extremely comfortable 2-0 victory at Turf Moor on Sunday. Burnley have now won just one of their last 11 matches and a comeback was never likely. The Clarets weren't even able to muster a single shot on target.

With Bournemouth, Hull City and Swansea City having collected important home victories earlier in the weekend, Sean Dyche's side are left five points above the relegation zone and...

Wayne Rooney admits injuries have held him back this season but denies he is frustrated with his place in Jose Mourinho's squad.

BURNLEY, England -- Wayne Rooney scored one goal and was involved in the other as injury-hit Man United closed the gap on Manchester City with a 2-0 win at Burnley.

1. Man United close on top four

The stakes are rarely low in Manchester derbies, but they have just got higher. Manchester United go to the Etihad Stadium on Thursday just one point behind fourth-place Manchester City. They make the short journey unbeaten in 23 league games, having won the last three and demonstrated their character.

John Stones not in Manchester United target Michael Keane's class

Michael Keane salvaged a point for Burnley.
Michael Keane is set to leave Burnley in the summer.

The worst kept secret at Burnley is out -- Michael Keane is set to leave at the end of the season.

Reports suggesting Keane has informed the club of his desire to move to another team will come as no surprise whatsoever to any Clarets supporters, as this has been on the cards for some time.

Even at the start of the season it seemed likely that it would be the last campaign Keane would play for Sean Dyche's side, as he had two years left on his contract and there were few signs he was interested...

Everton to hit the market in top-four push

Koeman has said he wants to augment the Merseysiders' team across the departments...

Burnley improving, but quest for first road win goes on after loss at Everton

Romelu Lukaku continued his record of scoring in every home game in 2017 as Everton swept aside Burnley.
Romelu Lukaku continued his record of scoring in every home game in 2017 as Everton swept aside Burnley.

Everton have been explosive at home this year, so only the most optimistic Burnley fans could have hoped for a first away win of the season. But Sean Dyche's team put in another improved performance, particularly in an excellent first half.

The Clarets were perhaps unlucky not to take the lead during that opening 45 minutes, but with top scorer Andre Gray relegated to the bench, they couldn't make the most of several chances that fell their way.

The hosts had needed a slice of luck to take the...

Dyche should target top-half finish to persuade Burnley stars to stick around

Sean Dyche has no qualms with Burnley's slow start against Middlesbrough, and says a point away from home is always crucial.

A couple of weeks ago Burnley supporters were getting nervous, with a winless run having seen the club slip down the Premier League table to the extent that relegation was a real possibility.

But last Tuesday's 1-0 home defeat of Stoke City was followed by a 0-0 draw at Middlesbrough over the weekend. Those four points from two games have seen the Clarets edge away from the relegation zone and towards the top of the mid-table pack.

With 36 points on the board -- in excess of the total the team have...
