Doncaster surrendered the lead three times and had to settle for a point from a pulsating 3-3 Sky Bet League One draw with Blackpool.

A Ryan Allsop own goal plus strikes from John Marquis and Alfie May had Rovers in front on three occasions only for Sean Longstaff, Oliver Turton and Callum Cooke to peg them back.

Doncaster took the lead after 37 minutes when Tommy Rowe's fine strike rattled back off the crossbar and ricocheted in off goalkeeper Allsop and into the goal.

But within a minute the visitors...

Sean Longstaff's early strike was enough to secure newly-promoted Blackpool their first League One victory with a 1-0 win over MK Dons.

The game was played with Blackpool Air Show taking place in the skies above Bloomfield Road and the hosts were soon flying high.

They were ahead after just five minutes when on-loan Newcastle midfielder Longstaff picked the ball up 15 yards out and rifled a right-footed shot low into the far corner.

And the Seasiders had a chance to double the lead after 24 minutes...

Wigan Athletic booked their place in the second round of the Carabao Cup - but Blackpool will wonder how they slipped to a 2-1 defeat at the DW Stadium.

Despite dominating the first half, the Seasiders somehow found themselves trailing 2-0 at the break.

Josh Laurent marked his first Wigan start with the opening goal on 17 minutes.

And Jordan Flores - who spent the second half of last term on loan at Bloomfield Road - doubled the advantage on the stroke of half-time.

Blackpool owners treat club as 'personal cash machine,' court hears

Blackpool owner Owen Oyston is accused of extracting millions from the club.

The Oyston family, owners of Blackpool, have been been accused at the High Court of treating the football club as "the family's personal cash machine."

Lawyers for Latvian millionaire Valeri Belokon, the club's president, were launching what could prove to be one of British football's most expensive legal actions.

Andrew Green QC alleged on Monday at the start of a five-week hearing that Owen and Karl Oyston, owner and chairman of the Lancashire club, had "improperly" extracted millions of pounds...

Brad Potts and Mark Cullen fired Blackpool to the unlikeliest of promotions as they beat Exeter 2-1 at Wembley.

The troubled Seasiders have played all season to a backdrop of supporter boycotts and protests against the club's owners.

They only secured their place in the League Two play-offs by winning the final-day scramble for seventh place, and then needed a stoppage-time own-goal to beat Luton 6-5 on aggregate in the semi-finals.

Most of their disgruntled fans, who want rid of owners the Oyston...
