Arjen Robben was in a jovial mood after signing a new one-year extension with Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben has hit back at critics who claim he always does the same trick on the pitch.

Robben, 33, has become renowned for cutting in from the right hand flank on to his stronger left foot before shooting. In recent weeks, he fired Bayern ahead with a trademark goal past David Ospina in their 5-1 Champions League victory over Arsenal and repeated his signature move at the weekend with the league leaders' final goal in an 8-0 Bundesliga drubbing of Hamburg.

Bastian Schweinsteiger supported referee after attempted suicide

Bastian Schweinsteiger, then at Bayern Munich, told Babak Rafati: 'You have to bounce back.'

Bastian Schweinsteiger wrote to a former Bundesliga referee who attempted to take his own life in 2011 to express his concern and support, Swiss newspaper Blick has reported.

Schweinsteiger contacted Babak Rafati, 46, who made an attempt on his own life while still working as a referee in November 2011.

Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben: China move 'is not an issue'

Arjen Robben was in a jovial mood after signing a new one-year extension with Bayern Munich.

Arjen Robben has told kicker a move to China "isn't an issue" and did not rule out retiring when his contract with Bayern Munich ends.

Robben, 33, joined Munich from Real Madrid in 2009 and last month signed a contract extension that will keep him with the Bundesliga champions until summer 2018.

He said: "I've never looked far into the future, therefore I'm super happy with the year extension.

Thomas Muller was the 'best player on the pitch' on Saturday, Bayern's Carlo Ancelotti said.
