Gerard Deulofeu scored his first goal for Barcelona in a 2-0 victory over Malaga at Camp Nou.

Malaga defender Luis Hernandez said it was "absurd" to allow Barcelona's opening goal to stand as his side lost 2-0 at the Camp Nou on Saturday.

Barca benefited from a touch of good fortune with their opening goal inside two minutes.

Lucas Digne weaved into the left side of the Malaga penalty area, but his touch from a rebound off a defender took the ball over the byline and out of play before he crossed into the six-yard box where Deulofeu flicked the ball in for his first Barcelona goal.

As well as concerns about his form, Suarez is also struggling with a knee injury and has been since the Spanish Super Cup. In a bid to...

BARCELONA -- Lionel Messi has not yet signed his new four-year contract with Barcelona but the club say they are already preparing to offer him a lifetime deal, similar to the one signed by Andres Iniesta earlier this month.

Messi, 30, agreed a new contract with Barca in July, but he has not yet sat down to sign the terms with president Josep Maria Bartomeu.

However, Bartomeu has assured fans that everything is in order, with Messi's father and representative having already signed the contract,...

Barcelona won't leave Spain regardless of Catalonia situation - Bartomeu

Ernesto Valverde quips that he hopes Leo Messi reaches 200 European goals this season after netting his 100th vs. Olympiakos.

BARCELONA -- Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has assured club members that there are no plans to leave La Liga, despite the current political situation in Catalonia.

The region's push for independence from Spain has raised questions about Barca's participation in the Spanish league, with the Catalan minister of sport, Gerard Figueras, suggesting they could be forced to take up residency in another country.

However, Bartomeu allayed those fears at the club's annual general meeting on Saturday,...
