Few teams have done more damage to Arsenal's hopes of late than Liverpool

Despite the alleged 138 million pound bid rumoured to be on the way for Coutinho, Steve Nicol defends Liverpool's decision to keep the Brazilian.
Alison Bender and Mark Ogden discuss why Liverpool are struggling to keep their best players.
The FC crew debate the questionable offside call that may have played a part in Arsenal's tough defeat at Stoke City.

If an enemy's enemy is a friend, Liverpool against Arsenal can seem the friendly rivalry among the Premier League superpowers. The Merseysiders have had more-fractious relations with Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City. The Gunners have seen each of those three raid the Emirates Stadium for players and have a historic foe in Tottenham.

They may regard each other as the lesser of the evils. Indeed, when Liverpool beat Chelsea in the 2005 Champions League semifinals, two of the first...

Arsene Wenger: Monaco 'closed door' on Thomas Lemar move to Arsenal

Arsenal's Arsene Wenger believes the transfer window should be closed before the start of the season to avoid playing the same players more than twice.

LONDON -- Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said Monaco have "closed the door" on a move for Thomas Lemar but stressed that the Gunners could still make another signing before the window closes.

Arsenal have made only two signings this summer, a club-record move for Lyon...

Until last season, a back four was another staple of Wenger's management. However, back in the spring a desperate roll of the dice saw him introduce a new-look three-man defence. The change in formation sparked an upturn in Arsenal's fortunes, as they embarked on an impressive run that culminated in them lifting the FA Cup at Wembley.

However,...

Alexis Sanchez fit for Arsenal return this weekend - Arsene Wenger

The FC crew debate the questionable offside call that may have played a part in Arsenal's tough defeat at Stoke City.
Arsenal's Arsene Wenger believes the transfer window should be closed before the start of the season to avoid playing the same players more than twice.

LONDON -- Alexis Sanchez is fit to face Liverpool on Sunday after overcoming an abdominal strain, Arsene Wenger has confirmed, handing Arsenal a massive boost ahead of their trip to Anfield.

Sanchez has yet to play this season after suffering a muscle injury in training, which did little to quell speculation about his future amid interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City.

But Wenger said on Thursday that the Chile international is ready to return to action, and that he is "very focused"...
