PAOK president Ivan Savvidis stormed the pitch against AEK Athens.

PAOK president Ivan Savvidis has been banned from all football grounds for three years after storming the pitch during a game against AEK Athens earlier this month while appearing to carry a gun in a hip holster.

The Greek Super League disciplinary committee docked the club three points, ending their title chances, and fined them €63,000. PAOK have also been ordered to play their next three home games behind closed doors.

Greece's sports minister says Greek Super League matches have been suspended indefinitely, a day after the gun-toting owner of PAOK marched onto the pitch following a disputed goal at the end of a league match.

Minister Giorgos Vasileiadis, speaking after meeting Monday with the Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, said fixtures have been suspended and would not restart "if there is not a new, clear framework agreed to by all so we can move forward with conditions and regulations."

ATHENS, Greece -- A disputed goal at the end of a Greek Super League match on Sunday between leader AEK and title rivals PAOK led to a pitch invasion by one of the team owners, who appeared to be carrying a gun.

Fernando Varela scored from a header in the 90th minute, putting host PAOK ahead 1-0 in the northern city of Thessaloniki. The referee signaled a goal but then seemed to disallow it for offside.

Newcastle Jets have lured Argentinian winger Patricio Rodriguez to the A-League, joining former AEK Athens teammate Ronald Vargas at the club.

Rodriguez has been brought in for the rest of the season as an injury replacement for Vargas, who broke and dislocated his ankle in October.
