Liverpool's new kits include 'vivid cactus' for goalkeepers

Liverpool have unveiled their away kit for the 2018-19 season.

The club have labelled the strip's shade as "deep violet" as they return to the colour they last used for the 2012-13 campaign's third kit.

The new kit features the same graphic on the front body of the home shirt, reflecting the architecture of Anfield's new Main Stand. Meanwhile, a 96 emblem, encased by the eternal flames, sits on the neck of the shirt to commemorate those who lost their lives at the Hillsborough disaster.

Speaking about the jersey, Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk said: "As a player the most important thing is how the shirt feels and performs.

"This kit gives us confidence to play to the best of our ability away from home. We have the best travelling support in football and I'm excited to run out in front of our fans wearing this strip."

The goalkeeper shirt is also of an eye-catching colour -- known as "vivid cactus".
