QPR manager Ian Holloway gets tattoo from his own son

Whether a fashion statement or the result of a midlife crisis, QPR manager Ian Holloway went under the needle recently to get his first ever tattoo at the age of 54.

What's more, Holloway also received his maiden ink from his very own son William, who is now fully trained as a professional tattoo artist.

"I told my boy I will only ever let you tattoo me when your good enough and that day has come!" said Holloway in the Instagram caption. "Chuffed to beans I made it through the three hours without fainting or crying. The pain was definitely worth it."

We can only speculate as to what the tattoo is of, but if it's not an image of himself eating a giant Cornish pasty then frankly we don't want to know.

Chris covers the funny side of the game for ESPN FC in the Toe Poke blog.
