Will Tottenham compound Chelsea's woes on big Premier League Wednesday?
A profitable weekend for the column after 12/5 and 6/1 winners landed. There's more Premier League action this week, including a huge London derby between Chelsea and Tottenham on Wednesday.
Running total: -£39.07
Maurizio Sarri suffered a very public indignity in the Carabao Cup final as Kepa Arrizabalaga resisted his attempt to substitute him late on in extra time. How will his players react against Spurs? Tottenham's title hopes suffered a significant blow as they lost 2-1 at Burnley at the weekend, but with Harry Kane fit again and back among the goals already they look a big price at 2/1 to win at Stamford Bridge. It was Spurs who ended Chelsea's unbeaten start to the season with a 3-1 win against them at Wembley in November and Sarri's side have since dropped to sixth in the table. Their collective display against Manchester City on Sunday was much improved but they are erratic and look too short here at just 6/4 for the win.
Selection: £4 on Tottenham to win at 2/1 with bet365.
The First Goal Flutter
Lewis Grabban has hit 16 goals for Nottingham Forest this season and he looks a tempting price at 100/30 to score first when Forest face Derby County on Monday evening. The last two Championship encounters between Forest and Derby have ended goalless but Grabban has been excellent this season and will be the man the Rams fear most.
The Tasty Treble
Both teams to score looks a rock solid bet at 4/6 when Manchester United travel to Crystal Palace. The Eagles have scored in every game they've played so far in 2019 while the Red Devils won't go to south London to park the bus. Elsewhere, Newcastle's recent form has been superb and the Toon can justify odds of 11/10 by beating Burnley on Tyneside. Finally add in Arsenal at 4/9 to see off Bournemouth for a Premier League threefold paying just over 4/1.
Selection: £3 on the treble at 4.05/1 with bet365.
The Euro Wager
Real Madrid's Copa del Rey semi with Barcelona is delicately poised after the teams drew 1-1 at the Camp Nou. However, our preference here is for Barcelona, who are running away with La Liga, to progress. Lionel Messi bagged a hat trick as Barca beat Sevilla at the weekend and the Argentine star can help the Blaugrana to another famous win at the Bernabeu. Messi's latest treble took him to 25 La Liga goals for the season, that's an average of one every 75 minutes, and he can help Barcelona lock up odds of 29/20 by winning in Madrid.
Selection: £4 on Barcelona to win at 29/20 with bet365.
The Wildcard Tip
Manchester United are facing a possible injury crisis ahead of their midweek clash against Crystal Palace, and with this in mind the Eagles looks a tempting bet to win at Selhurst Park. Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard and Ander Herrera all went off injured against Liverpool, while Marcus Rashford has an ankle problem. Palace meanwhile have been excellent in recent weeks and have the firepower to see off a depleted United at home.
